Do you have any recent crash logs available at brave://crashes? If so, could you provide them?

Can you provide the site as well? Thanks!

I am also experiencing the same issue at Fidelity.

Do you have any recent crash logs available at brave://crashes? If so, could you provide them?

Thanks for responding to my SOS. Where would I find or know if I have any recent crash logs available? Brave has been crashing regularly and quickly.

Should I be providing crash logs to the community? Let me know if that’s safe to do. Thanks.

The financial institution is MBNA.ca. I enter the login detail, and get the green light as it were, then BRAVE issues up “Authorization Error“.

BRAVE crashes at almost every site I visit. The site it crashes mostly at is Protonmail.com

I took a few screenshots. If you want to see them, tell how to upload them here. Thanks.

The crashes can be found at brave://crashes. You can email them to user-support@brave.com. Please provide details of how to replicate the issue in your email. Thanks!

Hello, and thanks for the information. I visited the page for crashes, and found 12 crashes,

Each said, “Status: Not uploaded“ and “Send now“. If I click “Send now“, where will they go? Thanks.

It goes to Brave’s database, and it should then have an ID that has a second half that ends in zero’s I believe. From there you can copy and paste that ID here, and the team can then reference it on their side, and see the log directly and privately, that you submitted.

Thanks for the information. I discovered what you told me, and submitted all 12 crash reports. I got a long ID for each of them indicating that they were uploaded.

Thanks again as I wait to see improvement with BRAVE.

I just realized you said that I should upload the IDs. Thanks. Here they are:

Looking forward to hearing from you.

@Mattches

OP has several Crash ID numbers.

Today, I said that I would login and give BRAVE a kudo for going for almost a week not crashing.

At 4:40 PM PST, brave crashed again: 1c7f74b7-4c62-4582-bccc-4f4b6cf82fb6

BRAVE, can you email me the reasons for these crashes? Thanks.

@Mattches

OP needs help; has reported several Crash ID numbers along the course.

@in_search_of can you please upload the latest reports and share the [newest] IDs with me here?

@Mattches thanks for your willingness to help. I’ve done the most I could do to provide the info you asked for but here is the problem.

From March 2, 2026, to April 4, 2026, I experienced 45 crashes.

The last 8 of 9 crashes would not upload even though I clicked “Send Now“ more than once on more then one occasion. The last time I did was today.

Today, I experienced 4 crashes and did my part to upload them. That’s more than an hour ago, and still no IDs.

Again, thanks for your willingness to help me.

Brave Browser (Windows OS) Orientation

Where Brave Browser Profiles Are Located

Where the Brave Browser user profiles’ data exists, is within sub-folders of the User Data folder:
C:\Users\[UserName]\AppData\Local\BraveSoftware\Brave-Browser\User Data\
aka:
%LOCALAPPDATA%\BraveSoftware\Brave-Browser\User Data\

Suggest:

  1. Set some other Internet browser as default for the Windows OS computer.
  2. Disable Brave Sync
  3. Back up the User Data folder to a safe location that is outside of the Brave Browser installation’s paths. Also, to an external USB drive, so you have 2 backups. Place each backup within a folder that you name (example): 20260404-2040_Saturday_BrvBrsrUDBKUP (date-time: yyyymmdd-hhmm).
  4. Backup username-and-password combinations - export as .CSV file, if using Brave’s Password Manager. And, secure that backup file in a safe location.
  5. Export Bookmarks - using Brave’s Bookmark Manager.

I would create at least 1 new Brave Browser user profile - for testing:

Create a new user Profile for Testing:

Create and use AN ADDITIONAL Brave Browser user Profile (Menu --> More tools --> Add profile) - only ← meaning: Do not have any other Brave Browser user Profile tabs/windows open.

When creating this new Brave Browser user Profile for test purposes

  • Do not import anything.
  • Do not add any extensions.
  • Do not allow/enable any Brave Browser “bells and whistles” such as Brave Rewards, Brave Talk, etc.

IF this test Brave Browser user profile does not present your problem, then possibly, the profile that you have been using, has the problem . . . and that might be caused by one or more extensions, or too many tabs ← complex/conundrum.

Otherwise, IF you do not hear from Brave Support …

You might choose to *thoroughly* uninstall the *entire* Brave Browser installation:
  1. Brave Browser executable brave.exe
  2. Brave Browser Updater BraveUpdate.exe
  3. User Data folder → %LOCALAPPDATA%\BraveSoftware\Brave-Browser\User Data\

Where Brave Browser (Windows OS) executable brave.exe for x86 architecture, is located:

x86 architecture, system level installation:
C:\Program Files(x86)\BraveSoftware\Brave-Browser\Application\brave.exe

64 / x86 architecture, user level installation (NOTE: you must substitute your Windows OS user account name for [UserName]):
C:\Users\[UserName]\AppData\Local\BraveSoftware\Brave-Browser\Application\brave.exe

Where the Brave Browser updater, BraveUpdate.exe is located:
C:\Program Files (x86)\BraveSoftware\Update\BraveUpdate.exe

Uninstall Brave Browser (Windows OS)

Uninstall Brave Browser application brave.exe etc.:
Every time I open the browser it closes again directly - #20 by clifton

Uninstall Brave Browser updater, BraveUpdate.exe:
Have to re-install Brave multiple times per day on Windows11 - #24 by mherrmann

A note from Brave Support, if all you want, is: How do I delete my data in Brave?

My preferred uninstaller:
https://crystalidea.com/uninstall-tool

Then look for residual files and folders within the Brave Browser installation paths, using search terms “Brave” and “brave”, and delete them. For example, delete the BraveSoftware folder:

C:\Users\[UserName]\AppData\Local\BraveSoftware

and all of its contents.

After all that uninstalling, deleting, Restart the Windows OS computer. I would do so, twice - as a “simple method” for getting the computer to a relaxed, post-updating-of-whatever … status.

After the last Restart, sign in to your Windows OS administrative level, user account. Make sure that you have a reliable, stable Internet connection - not prone to a connection “glitch.” Also try to make sure, that some anti-malware -type process will not interfere.

Visit ‘https://brave.com/download/’ and download, then install Brave Browser.

@289wk, thanks very much for the instructions. I welcome your willingness to help me.

After reading your instructions, I realize that it would take a nerd to fix the problem. I’m only a novice.

I also said that if BRAVE can’t fix it, neither can I.

There’s some good news. BRAVE went almost four day before crashing. Since then, it returned to its old ways.

I haven’t yet, but I’ll do as you said and "thoroughly uninstall the entire* Brave Browser.

I can’t get anything done with all of this crashing.

Thanks for your help. I truly appreciate it.
