Brave browser blurry on GNOME

Brave including all Chromium based browser are blurry on Ubuntu 24.04 GNOME

Reproduction steps:

  1. Download and open Brave in Ubuntu 24.04 GNOME
  2. Buttons, icons and text is blurry

Expected result:

  1. Not be blurry

Brave Version( check About Brave):

Version 1.67.123 Chromium: 126.0.6478.126 (Official Build) (64-bit)

Additional Information:
I tried the below steps to resolve already and they didn’t work:

  1. Change the brave://flags/ search for ozone and change the setting to auto, then click on the “relaunch” button that appears. But when I do that, something breaks and doesn’t launch at all.
  2. Toggling hardware acceleration.

Additional Notes:

  1. This issue seems to be caused by Wayland. But why am I not able to change the flag and relaunch the browser without it crashing totally?

Do you use fractional scaling? I get a blurry Brave when I do, but using text scaling instead works. You can set the text scaling factor in Gnome Tweaks.
