Brave auto-clears cache on exit

I could not find this on the forum anywhere, but Brave auto-clears cache and browsing data every time I shut down the browser. However, in settings, I do not have these options enabled. They are all disabled (i.e., the “on exit” tab of “clear browsing data”). Does anyone know how to fix this?

the other thing i can think of that you start brave in private mode
