Sometimes autocomplete suggestions based on browser history is not showing when typing in address bar. This happens just sometimes.
For example I have previously visited youtube.com. But when I type “you”, the full URL doesn’t show up as a suggestion even though youtube.com is obviously in my browser history.
I have the setting show browser suggestions enabled in search settings.
How can this issue be reproduced?
Make sure a previously visited website is in the history.
Enter the first few letters of that website.
Autocomplete suggestion of the website is not filled in the address bar.
Expected result:
I expect the full address of the previously visited website to be filled in (autocompleted) in the address bar.

I’ve encountered this, too. More specifically, it’ll remember it for a very short while, but then completely forget about it. Maybe 24 hours, but I haven’t timed it. I’m also on the same iOS version.
I also have this issue. It seems it’s roughly every 24 hours the history is being totally wiped. My phone is still running iOS 17.7.2 and I noticed this started happening after the most recent Brave update to the app. The problem is Brave devs put on the notes of the update that it would be the final update/build for iOS 17, so now I’m worried that if they do roll out a fix that requires an update, myself and others on iOS 17 won’t receive it. Hopefully it just needs a hotfix
Same problem on my iPhones. In the history I can only see today history. Yesterday history is visible as „this week", a anything older than a day is removed.
Then completely, thoroughly un-install Brave Browser and its data. Do a complete Power Off / Shut Down. Pause 30 seconds. Start up. Install Brave Browser. Import from the exports.
I use the iPhone, and at least 4 times since 2020, I have had to do the same procedures … in order to get Brave Browser running right. “It happens.” Updates affect some setting, and “just like that,” some performance issue(s) arise. So, I “simply” go at it, as described above. Fixes the performance issues I have encountered.
I have the exact same issue. About 24 hours after visiting a website I am required to type in a complete website url to visit the site again when I can clearly find the website in the History. Very annoying!!
