I got an update to version 1.93.136 on Windows, and for every website I visit there are now ads appearing and I have to confirm the cookie settings. Did something get broken or is there a setting to activate to restore these features?
Expected result: Ads blocked, no popups related to cookies

Not seeing this across the board. Can you please add some more information about the issue? What specific sites are you seeing this on? Are you using Win 11 or Win 10?

When reloading a page, first I get a gray publicity subwindow as expected, but after a few seconds the ads show up.
I already quit Brave and restarted, but to no avail.
Another impacted site is stocktwits.com
I uninstalled and reinstalled Brave, I am getting the same version. The problem persists.
I uninstalled and reinstalled again, this time also deleting everything under ProgramFiles, AppData, caches etc. Now normality seems to have been restored. I hope it holds now, still puzzled however what might cause this.
