“An error occurred. Please try again later. (Playback ID: h7U_N5DIFLPlq1nX)”
I already tried many fixes from brave community, YouTube and Reddit but nothing worked. Videos are not playing properly only on Brave. Is anyone else facing the same issue or knows a fix?
I think this is related to Brave’s update. My laptop’s Brave browser hasn’t updated yet, and I can watch videos there just fine. I also tried watching from another account that’s logged on and it also worked properly for me.
Edit:
I tried doing what another post suggested, which was to turn off the shield. I will NOT be doing this, as the reason I use Brave is to get no ads at all! I hope this gets fixed soon.
I’ve been having that playback error happen to me, And I’m in Private Browsing and not logged in on YouTube. I’m so tired of Google. And I’m now also tired of Twitch. I’m so sick of the stunts these Monopoly Companies try to pull.
@astara09@reinf same… this is another issue for me on using Brave (the other one is WhatsApp’s issue while it’s very hard to login or it keeps reloads by itself after a while (this is also the same issue with YouTube) !
Yeah, I totally get you. The WhatsApp issue seems to be fixed already, and the YouTube one will probably be solved soon too. So no worries — Brave is still on our side haha
i opened this tab for like around 2 - 3 hours (while i’m doin another stuffs at another tab) and this thing keeps loads 100 billion times slower than Spongebob’s snail, Gary
Whats worked for me is simply disabling Brave Shields for YouTube, and then using Braves hosted UBlock Origin extension found by going to → brave://settings/extensions/v2 and enabling the Ublock Origin Manifest V2 extension.
This has solved all playback problems and doesn’t require the use of a private window.
“@W0ckySlush — thanks for sharing. Worth noting that disabling Shields for YouTube removes Brave’s ad and tracker blocking on that site. If that trade-off is acceptable to you, the uBlock Origin MV2 approach is a valid workaround until Brave pushes a filter update to resolve this natively.”
