Youtube shorts no longer getting blocked

As the title suggests, shorts are no longer being blocked.
And to be very specific, its when you run a youtube search.
You can see below how it escapes.

Desktop brave browser
Windows 10 x64 bit
Brave is up to date
[Brave 1.80.124 (Official Build) (64-bit)]
Chromium: 138.0.7204.168

I’ve updated everything under brave://components

Bueller?

@fanboynz

OP reports that YouTube Anti-Shorts content filter is no longer working.

Bueller?
Any luck with this?

@TDK

Have you looked at: brave://components/

that’s the first thing i go to and update before i report anything and mentioned that i’ve tried that already.

@TDK

Yeah . . . but a couple weeks worth of Brave Browser updates occurred, so another look might be asked for, by @fanboynz ?

I’ve ran through the components just now and updated everything.

Still no dice

@TDK

The resident Brave Browser ad-blocking expert is Brave Team member @fanboynz . . . and he sometimes shows up; but other times, reads only and then keeps moving. He has a lot of ground to cover, every day. I have no way other than effectively PING’ing him as I have done, attempting to bring your issue to his attention.

He most likely has read your post. So, you wait for the doctor. Meaning, that a future BB update will most likely have the fix that you seek.

YouTube Shorts issues listed at Brave’s GitHub site:

https://github.com/brave/brave-browser/issues?q=youtube%20shorts%20in%3Atitle%20is%3Aissue%20sort%3Aupdated-desc’

I don’t expect any brave developer to leave anything aside and come to my aid.
i just wish we had the github kind of bug reporting which would be better to track bugs like this.

A fix will be out in the next few hours.
