Description of the issue: When opening Youtube the page opens, closes, opens, closes, opens, closes…. etc.

This has been like a month. Can’t use Youtube. Deleted casche and cookies, no help.

Using Brave 1.80.125 and macOS 12.7.1.

Exact URL of the website in question: https://www.youtube.com/

Did the issue present with default Shields settings? yes

Does the site function as expected when Shields are turned off? no

Is there a specific Shields configuration that causes the site to break? If so, tell us that configuration. no

Does the site work as expected when using Chrome? yes with Firefox

Brave version (check About Brave): 1.80.125

Firstly update the browser, The latest version of Brave for macOS is 1.81.135

if the issue still persists, check if youtube works properly with private tab and no extension enabled

Uptated. The same problem with private window no extencions.

@mies43 Instead of a private window try using a Guest Profile window (Menu --> More tools --> Guest profile) and make sure you close your original profile window before testing.

Using ‘default release’ profile Youtube works, but not the first profile.

I restarted the mac too…

This seems like an extensions issue to me. I know that you said you tested without them, but did you actually disable the extensions when testing? If not, can you please try doing so and testing again in your main profile?

If that does not work, would it be possible for you to share a short screen recording of the behavior as seen on your end?

Tryed screen recording, and the mac went crazy. Had to restart twice…

Too difficult. I drop the Brave, and return to Firefox and Safari.

I’ve lost now 14 months of work, on open Brave windows after trying to solve the problem…
