Hi CPU due to YouTube (which is stuck)

Description of the issue:

Brave hangs on YouTube.

How can this issue be reproduced?

  1. Open Brave
  2. Open YouTube
  3. Try to play a video

Expected result:
I expect the videos to play. Instead, the browser asks me to exit the page or wait. So I wait. And it asks again. I’m attaching the Activity Monitor and Task Manager screenshots.

Brave Version( check About Brave):
Version 1.21.74 Chromium: 89.0.4389.72 (Official Build) (x86_64)

What Mac do you have? Also, can you send us a screenshot of extensions from brave://extensions/?

Macbook Pro 2018, MacOS 11.2.1 - This was happening back in Catalina too…it would break, then work, then break, etc.

Can you please try viewing Youtube content in a Private window and see if you get the same results?
