Window closes when logging into websites

@Evan123 Thank you :grinning_face:

Brave just crashed again. I had been using it for 20 mins or so, closed all windows, then opened it again and tried to access Facebook, ..crashed.

So, even though this screendump shows the reporting is completed

When I try brave://crashes/ , it shows ‘not uploaded’. I press the button to ‘send now’ and it is still grayed out.

I’ve taken a copy of those 2 files, if anyone wants them ??

Crashed again, this time the SAME point, when I was logging into Facebook.

@jehoshua7 appreciate your patience and sharing. I know it can take time and they have some of your logs. It may be interesting if you can keep testing to see if it is directly related to Facebook or if it ever happens elsewhere.

Actually, if you don’t mind, could you install Brave Beta or Brave Nightly and see if you can use it with no issues?

Yes sure. The Facebook login was unusual. I entered the username okay, then tried to click in the area for pwd and it wouldn’t let me click there. Then it crashed. I always “clear everything” on a Brave exit, so no usernames, pwd, browser history, cookies,etc.

Yes okay. I’ll use this code - https://brave.com/linux/#nightly-channel-installation

No crashes at all, for over 3 weeks. :+1:

@jehoshua7 just to confirm, on normal or Nightly?

@Saoiray definitely the nightly build, it just updated this morning ..

Get:4 https://brave-browser-apt-nightly.s3.brave.com stable/main amd64 brave-browser-nightly amd64 1.83.83 [128 MB]

Guess I’d be curious to see if running the regular version of Brave would be good now. But if you’re content on Nightly then I guess can just stick with it and not worry about toying with the Release/Stable build.

Yes I can try the regular, however as you say, the nightly works okay (except this morning, small CSS error/bug), and no crashes is good.
