@Morticia My guess: Brave does not presently have funding and resources, with which to create a ManifestV2 development subdivision that could manage, maintain, and produce for multitudes of ManifestV2 extensions and their users.

Possible or they don’t want to maintain ManifestV2. Ether way, I’m not waiting for them to move. Deleting extension without warning was the final straw for me. I’m done with Brave.

ublock origin lite works just aswell as the outgoing ublock once its set to full complete filter. no big deal.

I had the same problem, turns out they are disabling manifest v2 extensions and moving to their own hosted version by Brave. So just migrated to Firefox.

I guess I could have share how to manually reinstall the extension. I originally wanted to know why they removed it in the first place. Brave’s decision to weaken their browser security without notice exposed their real priorities imo.
