Lost power due to a storm and when I rebooted, all of my manifest v2 apps were disabled without any warning or option to update. Why was this done like this? I knew they were going away in Chrome which is one of the reasons I moved over to Brave, (stupidly) assuming that those changes wouldn’t be pulled down stream? What the hell?

I’ve found a solution to bypass redirects and the mv2 manifest extension—which isn’t one of the four popular extensions hosted by Brave, as mentioned in the link . Thank you to the entire Brave development team and the moderators who helped me. Although it’s still a temporary solution, I’m very happy because “skip redirect” is one of many less popular mv2 extensions that are incredibly useful to me personally. This explains why Google has been forcing MV3 to Chrome and all Chrome-based browsers:
Manifest V2 extensions don't work on the latest Brave beta, probably because of a bug. However, they still function on Brave Nightly.
