Troubleshooting technical issues is much easier when both the user and support agent practice clear communication. For this reason, we have provided the template below for you to fill out with information about your issue. Please provide as much detail as possible so we can most efficiently resolve your problem.
Description of the issue: YouTube playback has bugged in the last couple of days. Double-tap video seeking no longer works—when you tap on either side, the video now pauses, rather than skips ahead or behind in time. The only method now to skip is by maximizing the video. Additionally, video playback seems to be bugged in general, as trying to click features like video quality also pause the video. Seems as if the pause function has usurped the video screen.
How can this issue be reproduced?
-
Play a YouTube video and double-tap to seek ahead or behind the timeline. You will notice it pause rather than behave as programmed.
-
Press any other video option on screen and note it will first pause your video before accessing the controls
Expected result:Seek-Time and other video controls should be useable as they were previously intended during playback.
