Vertical tab - Crashing Brave when trying to Disable

**Description of the issue: Brave is closing / crashing when trying to disable vertical tabs

**Steps to Reproduce (add as many as necessary):

At least on macOS:

  1. Activate vertical tabs (in my case I used to work with several instances of the browser and in some of them up to 60 tabs opened, organized by groups).
  2. Try to disable the tabs in all the possible ways:

Option 1: Clicking on the tabs and click on “use vertical tabs”
Option 2: Going to brave://settings/appearance and trying to disable there

Both options lead to a crash and you have to restart the Brave clicking on the icon.

BTW, as I have dozens of tabs, I need to scroll over the vertical tabs, and the experimental feature of scrolling over vertical tabs doesn’t work either.

**Expected result: Not crashing. Getting back to the horizontal tabs

**Reproduces how often: Always. Easy to reproduce

**Operating System and Brave Version(See the About Brave page in the main menu):

Version 1.77.100 Chromium: 135.0.7049.100 (Official Build) (arm64)

**Additional Information: Please, it’s a big issue for me, as I work with several tabs, now it’s useless. Anyway, hope to be back working with this issue. Your work is amazing.

It’s been 29 days since I first posted about this, and I haven’t received any response from the official support team.

Could you please confirm at least if there’s any way to disable vertical tabs to find a workaround?

Working with dozens of tabs in this way is proving to be very difficult.

Yes, I have. It’s easy to reproduce, just try to disable vertical tabs.
