Welp, for some reason I couldn’t post this on /r/brave_browser so I guess I’ll try here.

I’m a fresh new Brave user, but this kind of put a damper on my experience so far.
Everything was working fine, until…
It all started when Session Buddy’s interface just wouldn’t launch. It kept perpetually loading (but not timing out)
Then I found that some Google fonts might have been the culprit.
Ok, in that case I’ll try out Tab Session Manager. But surprise… the Google web store for extensions also had the same behavior.
Since Tab Session Manager is FOSS, I decided to build it. Loaded the unpacked extension and now Tab Session Manager’s interface has the _exact same behavior_.
Here’s the kicker: The extension web store loads fine in private windows (but unfortunately I can’t install extensions from there)

I noticed Session Buddy started working _sometimes_ and other times not. I thought it was because I was behind a VPN but an A/B test from Google would more likely be the cause.
@ForeverNoob long story short, it’s set to automatically remove all posts from anyone who hasn’t joined the subreddit. So if didn’t “join” r/brave_browser then the posts automatically get removed.
It’s frustrating and I brought it up to the mods there, but ones I spoke to said they didn’t do anything to have that setting. Problem is, no other subreddit seems to be active the same. I’m not sure if someone toyed with automod settings without realizing, if it’s an extreme setup to reduce bot spam, or what?
I’ll cc: @steeven and @Mattches though just to make sure it’s on their radar.
Tried submitting random post on a junk Reddit account to see. And indeed, happened as I said. It acted like it posted but then immediately got removed. But I know from trying before, if I hit that Join and then try posting, it will be kept.
