Tor network never connects in private window

Description of the issue:
Whenever I try to use a Tor private window, the site never connects. The window shows that Tor is not connected, but gives no indication on how to connect.

How can this issue be reproduced?

  1. Alt-Shft-N to bring up a Tor window
  2. Type in any known web address
  3. Cancel after the site refuses to connect (not even sure that I’m getting through to my DNS servers)

Expected result:
Sites should at least resolve their DNS name

Brave Version( check About Brave):
Version 1.19.88

Additional Information:
I’m using OpenDNS servers: 208.67.222.222 and 208.67.220.220

UPDATE: this is also happening on my Windows PC.

OK, with the last update - Version 1.20.103 Chromium: 88.0.4324.152 - it’s now working.
