Description of the issue:
Tab groups cannot be edited in tab bar with vertical tabs and automatic hiding enabled.

Steps to Reproduce (add as many as necessary): 1. 2. 3.

  1. in brave settings enable “Use vertical tabs” and “Hide completely when minimized”.
  2. Have the vertical tabs on the left side of the screen
  3. on the tab sidebar, make a tab group by right-clicking on a tab and selecting “Add tab to group → new group”.
  4. Right click on the tab group.

Actual Result (gifs and screenshots are welcome!):

Tab group window pops up for less than a second before closing alongside the tab list.

Expected result:

Tab group manager pops out in the way it would if you had “Hide completely when minimized” disabled.

@Thronu first thing I would do is update to the latest build (1.90.122) and see if the issue persists.

If it does I’m wondering if it might be a Linux specific issue. I’m booting up my VMs to test but on Windows and macOS, the vertical tab strip does disappear after right-clicking the tab group (which probably needs to be fixed) – however, the menu itself does not disappear and you can still interact with it as you would expect:
