Brave has the best Reader mode implementation I’ve seen in a browser. It already has TTS support using the native OS’s TTS capability.
It’d be great if you can add support for Piper AI voices. Piper is an open source TTS system with many GPL trained voices for a variety of languages. The voices sound quite a bit more natural than even the “premium” voices that come with MacOS. Each voice is about 100MB and is meant to be downloaded for local use.
