Slow initial page load and network weirdness

Description of the issue:

I’ve been trying to switch to Brave but I’m running into this weird issue where every initial page load takes a long time. After that activity on a page / site is usually ok for a bit.
To rule out any network issues I’ve tested different browsers. Edge, Firefox, Chromium are all behaving very well and are super snappy.
I’ve disable all extensions, tries shields-down, guest profile and nothing changes.
When testing on my internal network using openspeedtest I’ve noticed it show a lot of jitter and super high ping times. I can’t explain this in any way. Other browsers do not show this behavior.

I think its related to the facebook iframe loading in the background..

Could test the perforce by adding:

||facebook.com^*/plugins/page.php?$3p into brave://adblock (custom rules)

Or alternatively enable Fanboy Annoyance List, and then refreshing https://picoctf.org/
