Screen Turns Off Automatically When Watching YouTube in Brave App

Hello Brave Support Team,

I am experiencing an issue where my phone screen automatically turns off after about 2 minutes when I watch YouTube through the Brave browser. This seems to follow my system screen timeout setting. However, when I watch YouTube using other apps such as Chrome or the official YouTube app, the screen stays on as expected during video playback.

My device is a Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5, and both my phone’s software and the Brave app are fully updated to the latest versions.

Could you please help me understand why this happens and if there is a way to keep the screen on while watching videos in Brave?

This has happened to me. It gets fixed whenever I clear my memory (clearing cache memory) on Android. Not sure if that is the recommended solution for everyone, but somehow it works for me.

After that when I run videos the screen stays on.(Without getting locked)
