Save passwords in gnome-keyring, missing brave-keyring documentation

There is no documentation on “brave-keyring”. I would like to save my passwords in gnome-keyring instead. Why has the option been removed from Chromium, but this is not mentioned in the documentation? https://github.com/brave/brave-browser/wiki/Deviations-from-Chromium-(features-we-disable-or-remove)

edit: Chromium has following options:

--password-store=gnome (to use GNOME Keyring)
--password-store=kwallet (to use KWallet)
--password-store=basic (to use the plain text store)
