There’s a unique “Proxy Configuration” feature in Bromite/Cromite which can be accessed in their “Privacy And Security” menu. Basically it provides the ability to use certain proxy types such as PAC, which is useful for bypassing the restrictions that are applied by the government and easily access any websites that are blocked in your country.
Is it possible to implement this feature in Brave?
has anyone found the way to get brave to respect system proxy settings on linux without needing command-line flags???
I had the same issue and couldn’t get Brave to work right with my proxy settings at first. Turns out the easiest solution for me was to use static IP proxies from https://froxy.com/en/private-proxies. Once I set the proxy details manually with the right port and credentials, Brave started routing traffic through it without problems. Just make sure you’re entering everything exactly right in your system or Brave settings.
