Protection settings not saved after closing browser since last update

Description of the issue:
Changes of settings:
“Tracker & Anzeigenblockierung” to “Agressiv”
“Fingerprinting blockieren” to “strict”
are not saved when closing Brave Browser. When relaunching the browser after having made the changes in the settings mentioned above, these settings are reset to “Standard”

Steps to Reproduce (add as many as necessary):

  1. Go to settings
  2. Schutz / Protection
  3. Change Tracker & Anzeigenblockierung to agressiv
  4. Change Fingerprinting blockieren to strict
  5. Close browser
  6. Relaunch browser
  7. Go to settings
  8. Schutz / Protection
  9. Tracker & Anzeigenblockierung and Fingerprinting blockieren show standard as set

Expected result:
The browser should have saved the settings set to agressiv / strict but it doesn’t actually

Reproduces how often:
5 Times

Ubuntu 22.04 LTS
