Problem with "mailto" links and failure to remember the “Always allow” setting

Good morning,

I would like to report a problem with mailto links in the Brave browser. After clicking on a mailto link (e.g., on my.timocom.com) and checking the “Always allow” checkbox, this setting is not remembered after refreshing the page. I still have to confirm opening Outlook every time I click.

I tried checking the protocol settings in brave://settings/handlers, but I don’t see an option to set a default program for this specific website because the double diamond icon (◇◇) does not appear on the right side of the address bar.

I made sure that Outlook is set as the default email application in Windows.

Operating system: Windows 11

Is there a workaround for this issue, or is it a known bug? I would appreciate any help in resolving this issue.
