I do nothing different, it just randomly blocks. Is there an area on Brave that I can add the URL to allow access? I keep having to use Chrome, the very thing I am trying to avoid using.
Let’s look at the error in particular, “NET::ERR_CERT_AUTHORITY_INVALID”, that infers something with the certificate is wrong, namely the authority itself. Since it works with Chrome, what extensions do you have installed, and are any of them VPN/proxy related?
This kind of error usually happens if the certificate and the site don’t match, as in you’re not hitting the website you think you’re hitting.
If you aren’t using any extensions, then we might check here, as Brave does have one feature that might potentially cause this: brave://settings/security
In here, if “Use secure DNS” is enabled, try disabling it. Also, under “Select DNS provider” try setting it to OS default if it isn’t already. Either one of these could potentially cause certificate issues. Though rare.
My settings are as shown above as that’s my own screenshot, but I tried accessing the website you were in your screenshot, and I can access it just fine here (though you did state it happens sometimes but not always, but as of my testing, it’s working just fine):
