Picture in Picture lost focus when should be always on front

Description of the issue: Since a couple of months I realized that Brave Explore lost the always on front feature when the picture in picture is activated. As far as I know, this behavior only happens in Ubuntu. In Windows the picture in picture works fine, as expected (always on front). Does anyone know what could have happened?

How can this issue be reproduced?

  1. Play any video

  2. Activate the Picture in Picture

  3. Change to another app or window and the focus on the PiP is lost

Expected result: The PiP should be always on front

Brave Version( check About Brave): Brave 1.86.142 (Official Build) (64-bit) ; Chromium: 144.0.7559.97

Additional Information: My linux distro is Ubuntu 24.04.3 LTS

After searching on Google, I found this workaround: press Alt + Space while the PiP window is active to open the window menu, then select “Always on Top”. This isn’t permanent, it’s necessary to apply this WA on every tab or video you want to see on PiP. As I can remember, this wasn’t the usual behavior until a few months ago.
