I know my password to get into my Brave Wallet, but as a precaution, I like to change it. I looked at all the setting , FAQ, and via here for a solution and it is seem like the only way to do that is to restore by using my recovery phrase?

You’re right - we currently do not have the functionality to change the password. I have created an issue to track this: https://github.com/brave/brave-browser/issues/29287.
