This pop-up just comes up out of nowhere and you can’t close it. I can’t really tell how to reproduce because it appears randomly. It doesn’t even matter the login status in the current page. For instance, it happened this time in a page I just logged in to:
It can also happen in pages where you are not logged in and also in page where you’ve already logged in for some time.
I mentioned it appears in random places in the browser in the title because it does. You can’t really tell where it will appear next.

These two replies from previous threads may help shed some light:
Website have hidden form fields which capture user id and password. If you have autofill enabled without prompting, malicious websites may be able to steal your stored credentials. The pop up comes up when the form is loaded with those hidden fields and the password prompt shows up because we disable autofill by default. This is a security feature that is implemented in Brave to never autofill password.
There is nothing broken here its the website that has implemented the hidden id/password fie…

## Description
When you visit a site for which you've saved a login while yo… u're not logged in, the login autofill popup appears unexpectedly in a weird location near the top left corner of the window. Interacting with the window in any way causes the popup to disappear, and clicking the popup itself has no effect.
If you then focus one of the input fields in the site's login form, the login autofill popup appears in the correct location (underneath the input field), and works as expected.
## Steps to Reproduce
1. Log in to any website and save the password when prompted.
2. Log out of the website.
3. Reload the page while logged out.
## Actual result:
A login autofill popup appears in a weird location upon reloading the page, e.g.

## Expected result:
The login autofill popup should only appear on a logged out site after an input field on the login form is focused. It should appear in the correct location and function as expected when it is clicked.
## Reproduces how often:
Easily reproduced.
## Brave version (brave://version info)
Version 0.55.18 Chromium: 70.0.3538.67 (Official Build) (64-bit)
First noticed this issue while dogfooding the [RC3 build](https://github.com/brave/brave-browser/releases/tag/untagged-3a75a9cc7e4c7e6ff11a).
### Reproducible on current release:
- Does it reproduce on brave-browser dev/beta builds?
- Does it reproduce on browser-laptop?
### Website problems only:
- Does the issue resolve itself when disabling Brave Shields?
- Is the issue reproducible on the latest version of Chrome?

@Mattches Yes, thanks for that. I did notice that one thread - the system found it, but I didn’t read past the original post. I thought that the post only covered new passwords.
In any case, I see that the github thread is closed. Does this mean that this has been resolved for the next version?
