Please, please, please–add the option to save and not auto-delete my browsing history. This should be totally up to the user. If I want my history to auto-delete, that is my choice. If I want it to never delete and take up a terabyte of space after 30 years, that is my choice. It is very important to me for study and referring back and other purposes.

right? i know this is chrome but as you know brave based on chrome so same apply
there are extension for that
i did not used it before so do your search

In a Brave Browser > New Window, go to: brave://settings/clearBrowserData
Choose the On exit tab and set:
- Disable:
Browsing history
Click the ‘Save’ button

In a Brave Browser > New Window, go to: brave://settings/cookies
Enable: Block third-party cookies
Disable: Clear cookies and site data when you close all windows
Remove all: Sites that clear cookies when you close them
