Brave is deleting my history

Hi guys, below is the description of my problem. I’d be most grateful if you could get back to me on that!

Description of the issue:

Although I do not delete my history, sometimes webpages I visit are not suggested anymore by the browser. It mostly happens for pages I haven’t visited in a while, although I don’t think I have activated the option to delete the history after some time…

How can this issue be reproduced?

  1. Visit a link
  2. Wait a few weeks
  3. Try to visit this link again

Expected result:
Brave should suggest me the link but it doesn’t

Brave Version( check About Brave):
Version 1.14.84 Chromium: 85.0.4183.121 (Official Build) (64-bit)

Hi @Fraise2011,
Your history will be deleted after a period of time, around 90 days. Are you searching for sites you’ve visited over 90 days ago?
Also do you have clear browser data (brave://settings/clearBrowserData) enabled?

Hi @Aa-ron thank you for your reply. It looks like the history is indeed deleted after 90 days. Would it be possible to disable this option?
I don’t have clear browser data enabled.

Sorry, no way to disable. Unfortunately this is default behaviour from Chromium.
We have an open issue for this. I’ll add +1 on your behalf.
