Hello, I’m wondering if there is potentially some way to disable the private tab on the app version of the Brave Browser. While I won’t get into personal details, I’ve been trying to kick a certain addiction that’s been taking its toll on my brain, and with everything I’ve been able to successfully block the Private Tabs Google search has made this incredibly difficult. So if there is some way to disable the private tab so I’m not tempted to use it. If anyone has any information I would really like to know. Thanks for the help. Also if there isn’t an option should I ask this under feature requests?
Unfortunately there is no way to do this for the iOS app. On desktop this can be done through Group Policy and/or editing the system registry but not for mobile. Apologies – I do wish I could help with this.
You might consider looking into third party services that block access to the type of sites you’re trying to avoid.
Unfortunately most of the ones I’ve looked into require subscriptions and I’ve already successfully blocked most websites and don’t the ability to unblock, the issue is mostly the images tab since the blur option is dumb. I will be making a request though unless you discover something. Thanks anyway.
