I would like to request an option in the Android app settings for a true edge-to-edge layout / transparent status bar during regular browsing.
Current Behavior: When scrolling down a webpage, the address bar hides, but the top Android status bar (showing clock, battery, notifications) remains as a solid, non-transparent block. On modern screens, this wastes valuable screen real estate and cuts off the immersive feel of the page.
Proposed Feature: Add a toggle under Settings > Appearance (e.g., “Edge-to-Edge Status Bar” or “Transparent Status Bar”) that draws the website content directly behind the status bar. The status bar icons (time, battery) can remain visible on top with proper dynamic light/dark icon contrast.
Why this matters:

Better screen utilization: Modern Android apps (and Android 15+ guidelines) heavily push for edge-to-edge content to maximize display real estate.

Game-changer for full-screen devices: This is especially beneficial for smartphones with Under-Display Cameras (UDC) like the Nubia Z series (e.g. Z60 Ultra / Z70 Ultra) or RedMagic devices. These phones feature completely uninterrupted displays without a visible camera notch, making a solid status bar block a huge wasted opportunity for immersive browsing.

OLED & Immersive Browsing: It looks significantly cleaner and utilizes the full height of edge-to-edge displays.
