Settings → Show Bookmarks → Select “Only on new tab page”

Bookmarks Bar flashes briefly, but disappears once the homepage loads.
Expected result: View bookmarks bar
Brave Version( check About Brave): most recent
Additional Information: I’ve set my new tabs to open to the homepage (which I’ve also designated to be a certain link). I understand that if I set the New Tab to open to a blank page, the Bookmarks Bar would remain, but I want it do what the setting says, which is to show bookmarks “on new tab page"—even when that new tab is my homepage.
If not this, then I’d like a Bookmarks icon to be click-able in the toolbar (not an “add bookmark” icon, which I know already exists.)
