Not closing tabs and clearing data on exit

Description of the issue: not clearing browser data on exit

How can this issue be reproduced?

  1. Brave shields -Clear data on exit - on, clear browsing data on exit all checked.

  2. open Brave and browse, open a couple of tabs, then select options - exit

  3. reopen Brave, all tabs reopened and data history not cleared.

Expected result: When exiting Brave, tabs and data ERASED.

Brave Version( check About Brave):1.43.90

Mobile Device details android 12 - OnePlus Nord n200

Don’t have a screen shot. That is on my android phone. What happens is I have close Brave when tabs are closed checked, and have ‘clear data on exit’ enabled. If I close all tabs opened, Brave closes, when I reopen at home screen, seems cached data cleared. But if I browse and open couple of tabs, and then select ‘exit’ Brave seems to close, but when I reopen all the tabs and webpages I had in tabs is opened, meaning cached data is NOT cleared on exit. Also, if I open Brave and several tabs to different sites, then select ‘all open apps’ in android and swipe Brave app (to close app), and then reopen Brave, all the tabs with webpages comes back, NO data cleared. Would be hard for me to get screen shots from my phone, can try if necessary.

I don’t believe tabs get closed on exit – everything else should except for open tabs. I could be wrong about what the expected behavior is here though. It is worth noting that “cached data” is not the same as “open tabs” – that is, clearing Cache and site data does not include your open tabs.
