Need fix. too many ads showing
YouTube changes these fairly often, so the first thing I would try is updating Brave’s adblock component: open brave://components and update Brave Ad Block Updater, then fully restart Brave. Also check Shields is set to Aggressive for YouTube and test while signed out or in a private window, because sometimes it is account/experiment related. If it still happens, post your Brave version and OS so staff can compare it with the current filter issue.
Just tried all of this, still getting ads.Do you happen to have any other suggestions? I also tried adding the uBlock Origin filter lists; that also didn’t work. Has anyone heard a timeline for this to be addressed yet?
Scrolling down this Brave Community webpage, to the Related issues, there are lists of reports observed by 10’s of thousands of Brave Browser users visiting YouTube … over the years.
The issue is a “running” battle.
YouTube makes some change. Brave Support makes some web compatibility / ads blocking adjustments.
Brave’s native ad-blocking engine, Brave Shields, includes and utilizes filter lists sourced from the uBlock Origin project.

it works for me and several other users.
i don’t see any ads with ad-block only mode.
