New Tab & New Tab in group switched (Again!)

Description of the issue:

It seems that Brave has switched “new tab” and “new tab in group” again. This problem has occurred before and I eventually fixed it by following the solution in brave://flags as #swap-new-tab-and-new-tab-in-group-android, but currently, the flag for it is gone. Nowhere to be found. It’s hell for my muscle memory as I keep opening dozens of new tabs unconsciously.

How can this issue be reproduced.?

—When I long-press on a link or maybe an image, the layout of it appears: “new tab” and “new tab in group” is obviously switched.

Expected result:

—To be able to revert it back to its original layout at least.

Brave Version( check About Brave):

141.1.83.109 (says in brave://flags)

Mobile Device details

—I’m using a Xiaomi Redmi Note 14 4G

Additional Information:

This same issue can be found in Google Chrome as well, which I think is probably the main cause.

So annoying indeed! Seems like an upstream change in the Chromium project though :sleepy_face:

i have the same problem again and the option to fix it via “chrome://flags” no longer works :weary_face:

Same problem! Last time the chrome://flags thing was a lifesaver because I just could not relearn the position of the new tab in group option…this time? Nope. This is even more annoying than all tabs opening at the far right of the tab group unless you long press! Well, it’s at least as annoying.
