Hi Brave team and community,
Microsoft Edge has had a built-in Web Capture feature for years now that lets you capture an entire webpage in one shot — including content below the fold — without needing any extension or workaround. You simply hit Ctrl+Shift+S and get a clean, full-page screenshot instantly.
Brave still doesn’t have an equivalent. Yes, I’m aware of the DevTools workaround (Ctrl+Shift+P → “Capture full size screenshot”), but that’s a developer-oriented workaround, not a user-friendly native feature. The existing screenshot tool in the Share menu only captures the visible area, which is quite limiting.
Given that Brave’s whole identity is about being a better, privacy-first browser, it would make sense to also be competitive on everyday usability features like this.
What I’m requesting:
- A native full-page (scrolling) screenshot option accessible from the toolbar or right-click menu
- Ideally accessible via a simple keyboard shortcut
- Output as a downloadable image (PNG/JPG) — no account or upload required
This has been requested by the community multiple times over the years. It would be great to finally see it on the roadmap.
Thanks for considering it! ![]()
