Missing BAT - I feel like I've been cheated

My brave rewards button said “You have seen 110 ads this month” but I didn’t have my Uphold account linked due to my passport expiring and needing to do KYC again.

So I got my Uphold reverified, linked it to Brave rewards and now it just says “you’ve seen 0 ads this month” with 0.25 BAT in my Uphold balance (which is what I had before all this).

My question is this, why did linking my Brave Rewards to Uphold seem to reset the ads I’ve seen this month? Like how does it make sense to reset the figure for what has been earned?

This topic is similar to other posts however I read through them and all I saw was that other people had the same issue but nobody from support/brave provided any help or answers (hence why I posted this, to get answers).

You must have a fully connected account in order to be eligible for ads earnings. Once you connect, the ads counter is reset and you are now eligible.
