Seen Ads This Month Stuck on Zero

Before I connected my custodial account to Brave Rewards, it always shows how many number of ads I have seen this month. But then when I connected my custodial account to Brave Rewards the counter refreshed back to zero. I have also seen ads since I connected my custodial account but it is still stuck on zero.

Is there any way to fix this issue?

This is expected. You aren’t eligible to earn BAT for ads seen until you connect to an account. So it shifted from ineligible ads to eligible.

And this is possible as well. If you look at the note next to the ads viewed count, it specifies:

  • This shows the number of Brave Ads you’ve seen this month that qualify for earning BAT.

As Brave Rewards informs us, we get paid for ads they are paid to show us. If it is a house ad, then we get nothing. House ads are those about Brave’s products and services, or a limited time collaboration Brave might be doing with another product or service.

Since house ads don’t pay, they have a 0 BAT value, it does not increase the ads viewed count.

How many paid ads are available to you will be based on the amount of ad campaigns in your region, what devices those campaigns are set to show on, and view limits they impose.,

Thank you for the reply! This is very helpful.

Hi @Saoiray , how are you doing?

I’m seeing the same issue and mine is connected to Uphold (for a long time), is it related?
Not sure if there is any relation to location (Massachusetts).

EDIT:
In my case, I think I’m getting close to the culprit.
I use ControlD as DNS and have some of Brave stuff being blocked by one of the anti-ADs list.
I’ll continue troubleshoot and come back with an update later.

EDIT:

Exactly like I suspected. It was being blocked by the anti-ad within ControlD DNS.
Once I whitelisted anonymous.ads.brave.com it got back to work.
