Middle click on the empty space in the tabs bar to open a new tab

There’s already a + button on the top of the browser to open a new tab but I think it’d be nice if we could also open a new tab by middle clicking on the empty space. Kind of similar to how middle clicking on a tab will close the tab, but reversed.
