Microphone Search Says "No internet connection"

Description of the issue:

Using voice search on google.com returns “No internet connection”. Mic doesn’t work. Nothing is searched.

How can this issue be reproduced?

  1. go to google.com

  2. click microphone icon

Expected result:

google search should display “Speak now” .Then google should search the spoken words.

Brave Version( check About Brave): Brave 1.82.161 (Official Build) (64-bit)
Chromium: 140.0.7339.80

Additional Information:

  • Mic works no-problem on mictests.com.
  • This problem does not occur with Chrome browser.
  • This problem does occur with Chromium browser.

Same issue here on the same Brave version.

I did however test with shields off, and also got “No Internet Connection”. Edge however, works.

Still an issue. I tried everything, even making Brave seriously unsecure with all cookies allowed, no blocking of any kind, all shields down. Still says No Internet Connection.
