I would like to see a new feature for Brave on iOS: a Landscape Mode toggle button for videos (especially YouTube) inside the browser.
Why this is important:
-
Currently, to watch YouTube videos in landscape on iPhone, we must enable the full system screen rotation.
-
Many users prefer to keep rotation locked because it interferes with regular browsing, and use
-
Some apps (including other browsers and some third-party video players) offer an in-app rotation/landscape toggle, which allows videos to rotate without unlocking system rotation.
-
Adding this feature would greatly improve the browsing and media-watching experience on Brave.
-
A small “Rotate” or “Landscape” button within the video
-
Tapping it forces the video into full-screen landscape mode even when iPhone rotation off
Why Brave should consider it:
-
It solves a real usability problem
-
It enhances video consumption—one of the most common uses of mobile browsers.
-
It gives Brave a competitive advantage over browsers that rely solely on system rotation.
This would be a highly useful and user-friendly addition. Thank you for considering it.
