Hello, I want to report a problem that I don’t know if it has happened to many lately, Twitch the platform has been blocking the use of your browser, first step was that I could not claim the points obtained on the web (reward for watching stream) and when trying to repair said error, I proceeded to delete all the cookies and data saved to preload the site on my PC, after that I wanted to log in and I got an error warning that I should use a browser compatible with said site, I suppose they apply Sensual because said site has advertising and since they managed to block it, those from Twitch under reprimand do not allow users of both services (browser and website) to log in. I leave you the URL that they gave me in response when trying to log in, in case it is of any use to you.
I hope you can help me and I can use Twitch again in Brave, which is my base browser and it is uncomfortable for me to use another browser.
This is becoming a more widespread issue. I think it may be a Twitch issue rather than a Brave issue, as other browsers have the same issue. Stay tuned to the attached post and see if they have a solution.
While I’m personally not a Twitch user, I am beginning to think (based on all of the reports I’m seeing) it’s a fingerprint blocker option that’s causing it (as I’m sure they’d love to track their users).
As to which, I don’t know, but perhaps some users can try toggling the fingerprint options found in the Shields menu:
You’ll likely need to clear the site data each time however.
Do note, the list of fingerprint blockers is dynamic, meaning the list you see, is the fingerprint methods the website attempted to run on your computer. So you might see more, or less, and/or different things entirely.
as a web developer - I did this- I installed Cookie-Editor extension on Mozilla (Chrome also ok) and Brave. then logged in on mozilla, cookie exported, then imported that cookie on Brave.
