Issue Connecting Brave Self-Custody Wallet for Brave Rewards (Solana Fee Error)

Hi Brave team,

I’m trying to connect the Brave self-custody wallet to enable Brave Rewards. When I click to add the self-custody wallet, it asks for Solana network fees. I already have sufficient SOL in my wallet, but the wallet creation/connection fails.

I checked the transaction from my main wallet, and it shows as error/failed, so the self-custody wallet isn’t being created or connected. Because of this, I can’t connect a wallet to earn Brave Rewards.

Could someone please help me understand why this transaction is failing and how to fix it?

You can follow the instructions outlined below. https://support.brave.app/hc/en-us/articles/41704970565261-How-do-I-connect-Brave-Rewards-to-a-self-custody-wallet Unfortunately, swaps on SOL are not working in Brave Wallet at the moment. We’re looking into the matter. If you need to swap SOL, you can use a third party provider like 1inch, uniswap, etc. Let me know if you have any questions. Thanks!

Yes, if you previously connected your current Solana address 4 times, you will need to use a new SOL address. @tr_boss

My brave wallet is not connecting with brave rewards

You need atleast $1 worth of SOL on the address and the transaction will process. Thank you!
