The Brave Wallet password is made during the creation of Brave Wallet. If you’re seeing the password prompt, it is because a wallet was created previously.
You can reset the wallet with the below instructions.
Thank you for your response.
The problem remains, unfortunately. I am quite sure it is an issue related to the operating system, as in Android and windows I do not encounter any problem.
Thanks again and best regards,
Harry
When I open the wallet, it asks me for my password. I do get the option to enter skip that screen and move to a screen where I can enter a passphrase. No other option are available. If and when I enter the suggested url’s directly in the adressbar, I still get the exact same screens (to enter password).
Never an option to reset password, nor to start all over by resetting the wallet.
I use Linux mint in that specific laptop. When I install and run brave on either a windows computer of an Android phone, everything works as it should.
I already went through this process (twice) but to no avail. Something did strike me as odd, though: I noticed a button to “Get Brave Browser”, but I am running Brave at this time. I will have to check if I get this same message on my other systems. I obtained this version through the appstore that come with Linux Mint.
