How to Create a Wallet? Instructions Don't Work

I started using Brave a few years ago and it automatically kept track of my BAT. Then it suddenly stopped and my BAT vanished. I don’t know why.

Today I clicked the wallet icon and was presented with the option to connect to my Brave wallet. After clicking connect I get a screen asking for my password. However, I never set one. A password was never required when Brave was automatically tracking BAT. I see no option to create a wallet or a password (I can’t use Restore as I never had a password).

The help page is useless because Brave does not actually present a “Need a New Wallet” or “Already have a wallet?” icon. https://support.brave.app/hc/en-us/articles/12753544357645-Creating-your-Brave-Wallet

If you’re seeing a password for your Brave Wallet, that means it was previously setup at one point. If you do not remember the password you can use the recovery phrase to restore it.

If you don’t have the recovery phrase or can’t remember the password, you can reset the wallet.

Once reset and setup again, you should have no issue connecting Rewards to the wallet.
