I always use virustotal before downloading everything, Because of viruses etc.
But when i check the setup on virustotal and its been flagged.
Just checking is it safe to use for a normal person?

Did you download Brave from our official website (https://brave.com/download)?
@Mattches yes, it shows that way when you upload the installer to VirusTotal. Any other shows no problems and the only one that flags is DrWeb. It’s been discussed here and on Reddit on many occasions. One such other topic where I responded after testing it myself is below:
