Description of the issue:
I would like to take a screen capture but only a section of it, not the entire page. Is this possible in Brave please?
If so, baby steps please for this old duck.
Brave Version( check About Brave):
Version 1.28.105 Chromium: 92.0.4515.131 (Official Build) (64-bit)
Thank you for your help.
Cheers
Sally
Brave doesn’t provide its own screenshot feature as of the moment. You would have to use a third-party extension or use the trick provided by @JimB1 .
@screen_capture ,
Press F12, this will open Dev Tools
Press Ctrl+Shift+P
At the prompt, type ‘shot’ and you should get several choices for screen capture options

Since you are on Windows, you may have the Win+Shift+S key combination available as well, which is outside of Brave but may also do what you want and will work in any app.
Many thanks for your kind and quick response.
I hope developers will add this to Brave.

There is an open feature request for such a possibility, feel free to voice your opinion over there too.
Add a built in screenshot feature to brave. Right click, select screenshot and be able to drag the selected area to screenshot, or select a certain element, or full page. The screenshot goes to downloads/whatever folder the user has selected in their settings. I think this could be useful to really quickly be able to take screenshots of specific elements in particular, it’s a fast way to take screenshots rather than having to pull up whatever screenshot tool you currently use.

That’s a cool trick, @JimB1 , I wasn’t aware of it

Edited my first comment as it looks like there is some screenshot possibility after all.
