How can you turn off the quick search engine bar that pops up on the app when you tap the address bar?

Steps to Reproduce (add as many as necessary):

Tap the address/search bar in the app (I’m on iOS) and start typing. The quick search bar appears soon after.

Do you have all the search suggestions disabled at All Settings → Search Engines. There’s a few options there you can disable.

Thank you for your reply. I gave that a shot, and the Quick Search suggestion bar is still there. I have turned off all the quick search engine suggestions though, so Google and Leo are the only two icons that appear.

Okay so this is super convoluted and I believe we’re working on making this whole bar/screen easier to use. But for now, unfortunately, you’ll need to ensure you disable Google and all options in Settings > Search engines > Quick search engines and then go to Settings > Leo and toggle the Show in quick search engines bar option “off”.

Once you’ve disabled everything from the bar, it will no longer appear. Note that when I did this for some reason if you change the value of the default search engine used generally in the address bar, whatever you changed it from will toggle itself back on in Quick search engines, which is it’s own issue.

That did it! Thank you so much :slight_smile: I switched over to Brave a couple of days ago, and I’m absolutely loving it.
