Grabbable area when hiding title bar

Hello Brave Team,

Please can you consider a usability and accessibility thing.

A grabbable padded area for when you hide the top bar.

On desktop I’ve pretty much exclusively switched to vertical tabs, because most websites don’t bother spanning content that wide. So I like to maximise vertical real estate by turning on vertical tabs and turning off the title bar.

However, as someone who also likes to reposition my windows with the mouse on a regular basis, I’m presented with a conundrum of which pixel to grab when I want to move my window.

Please will you create a grabbable handle area? Somewhere that’s free form extensions or the url bar, that I can just grab and pick up the window and move it. It doesn’t have to be huge. You can put a nice little hand icon on it or something…

Here’s a mock up for you. It looks pretty bad but you get the idea

@no_thanks you should be able to grab anywhere on the bar to move the browser around. There is less area if you have the Use wide address bar enabled (which it looks like you do) – you might consider toggling that option “off” to free up grabbable window real estate.

Appreciate that, hadn’t even noticed that was turned on. I will say though, I prefer the look of the wide title bar. It’d be cool if it didn’t eat up all of the free space up there. But yes this solved it. Thanks.
